Good Thursday morning to you! I hope your week has been productive and mixed with a little bit of fun. I am feeling a lot better this week. I think the plague is officially out of my system.
I am a little perturbed at myself though because, well to make a long story short, my computer malfunctioned here at work and I deleted a lot of images from my media library. And how come no one told me that this also removes the photos from your blog posts? I had to find out the hard way! So I have decided to only keep the memorable blog posts and rebuild from there. Hope you don’t mind. I see it as I’m starting out on a clean slate.
So, if you have been following along, you know that I have been doing an installment of Thankful Things Thursday. And since it’s Thursday once again I think we should get to it, so shall we?
Today, I am thankful for thoughtful coworkers.
It has been a rough week here at work and I have been on some tight deadlines. But guess what I found on my desk when I walked in this morning?
Looks like I have a secret santa!
All of my coworkers received gifts too…little random things like sparkly santa hats, pez candy, etc. I got some yummy smelling soap and some fuzzy socks. So fun! What a way to brighten someone’s day! I just wish I knew who it was. I kind of like the whole mystery behind it.
I am thankful for some upcoming festive races.
This weekend is the Deck the Trails run at the Coppell Nature Park. I have a couple of running buddies doing the race with me as well so it should be a lot of fun. I haven’t decided what to wear yet but I do have my leopard santa hat. I may go looking for some festive things to wear at lunch today and see what I can come up with. They have santa running skirts, right? Somewhere?
Following the trail run is a 15K next weekend, then a Jingle Bell 5K run a few short days later. Should be lots o’ fun!
I am thankful I get to eat, drink and be merry with good friends this holiday season.
Tuesday night I went to the Luke’s Locker end of the year/White Rock celebration, and I am so very glad I did! I got to catch up with good buddies and hear all of their White Rock race stories. A lot of them really pushed through some rainy, windy conditions and came out on top! I was so happy to see everyone and celebrate in their success.
Tonight I have a fun evening planned at Whole Foods – vino and cheese holiday tasting with my girls! I am super excited and these tastings are always so fun.
What are you thankful for this holiday season?
