I love the energy my Monday spin class brings…they are always happy and talkative for so early in the morning and I am starting to notice everyone has their designated bikes they like to use…so don’t be tardy for the party or else you will not get your bike…
Serious business.
I love splitting the class up into teams and doing sprints to this song…the whole class really gets into it! I love a class that can work hard so early in the dang morning.
Jumping back to the weekend…Saturday was my last double digit run before the marathon! I ran 12 miles with these lovely ladies…
We did our normal 12 mile route around the park that we all know now like the back of our hands. I actually did not charge my Garmin up for this run so I ran without a running watch for the first time in a while! I really am a “run by feel” type of runner so it was a nice break to run without worrying about numbers. I felt great the whole time and picked up my stride a bit towards the end. After the run we stretched and did a little yoga…happy baby pose is my new favorite move…great for opening up tight runner’s hips!
After the run I had brunch with my girl Natalie! We went to Main Street bistro, one of my favorite little French eateries to hit up on the weekends for a tasty mimosa. How cute is this place on the inside…
I tried their spinach salad and cup of mushroom soup…it was such good comfort food after dominating the 12 miles!
I also paid my mom a little visit and we went to the salon together to visit our favorite stylist. Mama got hers colored and and I got mine washed and straightened. I wear my hair up so much during the weekdays that I almost forget that I have highlights in my hair! Of course we had to take a mama/daughter ‘after’ photo…
The rest of the weekend was super chill. It was nice to not have big hot shot plans and just rest and kick my feet up after the run! I spent lots of QT with the boyfriend and then did some grocery shopping on Sunday. I bought some baby kale to make salads during the week…
And some cherry tomaters! I love how everything is packaged with pink this month for breast cancer awareness…
Even the NFL is sporting their pink! I love watching them run up and down the field in my favorite color…
I love me some men in pink…it’s a confident color!
How was your weekend – relaxing / productive / a little bit of fun?! Favorite thing to eat at brunch? What color when you wear it makes you feel confident?
Mine is pink…for sure…

Red and orange. Gotta love the brights
Oh yes, the brighter the better!!
I love cherry tomatoes, man I just give you so much credit for teaching that early morning spin
Yeah it’s a little rough if I don’t go to bed early enough…thankfully my Monday class has so much energy so I look fwd to it!
My Weekend was mostly relaxing. I chilled with my babe and my dog. Fun stuff. I went for a swim! Brunch an Omlette, you can never go wrong with those. Purple makes me feel powerful!
Sounds like you had a lovely weekend! Ahh a swim sounds great, temps outside are just perfect for that right now! Maybe I will get to the pool sometime this week
Haha, do mimosas count as a favorite brunch item? I did a long run with my friend this weekend, and every mile we reminded ourselves that we were running for bottomless mimosas!
OMG yes of course mimosas count as a brunch item! The BEST brunch item at that!!
My confident color is usually black or grey. I feel powerful in those colors, haha.
Yes, black is one of my favorite colors to wear esp when running!
weekend was cray cray. Too much going on, too much driving. No time to run. Ughh. Life, please SLOW DOWN!!!!
Fortunately it’s taper time so you’re good…you are so READY for this!!!
Wow, glad to know it’s not just me who has a BIKE. MY BIKE:) New people back-off.
I don’t mind the NFL pink, but it’s kind of annoying.
I wear a ton of black, I don’t think that screams confidence but it always goes well with everything, haha.
Loving the new look!
I love black too! I wear it just about every day…black is my main go to!! And yes so glad I’m not the only one that is a diva at the gym about having their own bike
