My days are always a lot happier when I get to greet the sunrise with good running buddies who are crazy chipper morning people like me. It’s always more fun pounding the pavement with a posse. Me and my super fun neighbors Elyse and Crystal enjoyed talking the miles away. Of course it wouldn’t be a real run without me stopping to capture an image of some piece of nature.
This weekend is my 20 mile run and is it sadistic to say that I’m looking forward to it!? It will be my 2nd 20 miler of the season. I’m thinking this training cycle I will top out at three 20 mile runs and call it a day. Perfectly happy with that. My legs and body thank me for listening to it and being patient. This morning’s sub 9 minute miles felt effortless! I love those effortless, FEARLESS type of runs…such a good feeling.
Tonight I am subbing a dance class then enjoying some date nite time with my honey! Hoping for some evening chilly weather to kick back and put my feet up. Then tomorrow is oh so glorious rest day. Hallelujah!
What is your workout today? Do you have an official REST day during the week of working out?

you are a champ! I have never done a 20 mile run but it terrifies me!
It definitely requires building up to that kind of mileage
Hopefully you will experience it one day!
Good luck on your 20-mile run! I run 4 days a week and sometimes do other workouts on the off days (boot camp or strength training when and if the opportunity presents itself). Today is a rest day because we did our long (almost 10-miler) yesterday. We usually do 10-milers on either Wednesdays or Fridays, so the next day is a day for me to get things done and not figure in the exercise time. ; )
Thanks Anne! Love rest days after a long run, so rewarding!
That is awesome! 20 miles seems sooo long lol
Oh please believe it is! Makes it easier though when you’re running with a group!
You have to look forward to it, otherwise you’re only making it worse – I like your style:)
Have an awesome run!
Thanks girlie! I will keep ya posted!
