Easy Breezy Wknd Recap.

Happy Monday to you! Things are pretty quiet around the office here this morning so I had some time to check in. It’s nice and breezy outside, and kind of dark and cloudy so I slept in this morning til about 7:45 am. My days of ‘sleeping in’ aren’t going to last very long since I officially start teaching spin class next week so you know I had to take full advantage of it this week!
My weekend was actually very mellow and low key. Those are always the best kinds of weekends. Saturday morning I coached my running group, it was a recovery week for us after last week’s 20 miler. 13.5 miles done. We have a big group running MCM this year! I am starting to get super excited and have been looking at the course changes and all of the logistics. I am loving the bibs this year…very official!
After the run I felt pretty good but was actually very sleepy! Did nothing all afternoon. I literally came home and put on my pj’s and chilled until about 3 or 4 pm. Hello Kitty PJ’s are exclusively for doing nothing on Saturday afternoons.
Once my batteries were recharged boyfriend and I met up with some friends and went to a wine festival in Grapevine. It was a lot of fun…we walked around mostly and just enjoyed the evening. Once my friends left we decided to stay a little bit longer for some one on one time and enjoy the jazz music and the bubbly.
Sunday morning I got up, dragged myself out of bed and went to Gaby’s dance class at the gym. After my workout and church we came home and watched some football. One of my favorite things to do on Sundays is make dinner. Sirloin steaks, roasted taters and green beans comin’ right up. On paper plates cuz I’m classy like that.
I winded down later on that evening in the hot tub! Fall is a perfect hot tubbin’ season. So relaxing.
How was your weekend? Do you make dinner on Sundays or do you usually eat out? When is the last time you have been to a local carnival or festival?

  1. Very relaxing weekend for me. Did some household chores and went for a run yesterday. It was such a lovely day. My spouse has been working a lot lately, so I had time for myself. I enjoy that every now and again. We don’t each out too much at restaurants. Once and a while we opt for some take out at our favourite Thai restaurant. I’d have to say, the last festival I went to was in the summer. It was a Ribfest. Oh so bad, I know….but oh so good! ;)

  2. Sounds like a pretty perfect weekend! I am so in awe of your spin class teaching – cannot wait to hear how your first class goes. Something I’ve always wanted to do, instruct!

Ah, and now I want a hot tub, lol.
